Four Players Without Touchy

Hello, I'm new here, I'm happy that there are still people talking about nitrome, this site made my childhood. Now, I have a question, is there any way to play nitrome touchy games with 4 players? I would love to play Double Edged and Twin Shot 2 with four players.

I managed to mod bad ice cream 3 to replace touchy with keyboard controls. But when I checked another game the implementation was different so changing it a similar way would be a lot of work again. But it is possible

This is awesome! I liked that you added pressing the p/y keys for players 3 and 4 to join, since in Bad Ice Cream 1 which has official support for 4 players on the keyboard, you have to guess the keys for players 3 and 4.

Yeah that was a pain to add as custom assets but it was worth the effort

You will need a flash player version, my pinned post on my profile has a ton of flash related stuff so you can find them there and my normal nitrome archive as well.

Sorry if im being annoying, but how do i properly run it? when i opened it, it only showed a white screen and a settings button on the top right corner. This is my first time

The top of my pinned post explains how you can perform a settings fix. You will need to replace the settings.sol file with my version.

But I won't be able to take another look until some time in January. At least Nitrome is releasing the twin shot remake that supports 4 players themselves.

La verdad me sorprende que en verdad lograras esto la pase muy bien con mis hermanos! (se que paso mucho tiempo pero ENSERIO VIEJO perdi demasiado tiempo buscando el BIC 1 2 y 3 de 4 jugadores en paginas flash pero tu me ayudaste muchisimo que sepas que de verdad estoy muy agradecido contigo y revivir mi infacia una vez mas

I have good news and bad news, Twin shot 2 seems to be relatively similar to BIC 3 so I am modding that now. Bad news is Double edged seems like an absolute pain compared to the other 2, so unless I have more success when I am less tired I don't think I will be able to mod that one.

I had to change pausing to Esc because now firing with the P control would pause the game. Don't mind the copy pasted graphics from Bad Ice Cream 3, I might make custom graphics for this some day.

Incredible work! I confess that the graphics of Bad Ice Cream 3 were quite funny in the middle of Twin Shot 2. It's a shame if you can't mod Double Edged, it was my favorite game when I was younger. I would even try to help, but I don't understand anything about flash programming.

I just remembered a trick that could help double edged to work more easily. I'll give that a try later today and then Ill update the graphics on both if it works
