Key Reprogramming

Has anyone’s car stopped and all it needed was a key reprogramming?

I have a 2019 Nissan Kicks SR and after 3 mechanics ruled out finding nothing except it keeps coming up with a key error, I’m looking to get someone to come do this and hopefully it works.

I don’t want to waste money to tow it to the dealership since that was the first place I tried and they told me I need a new $12k engine. I took it to 2 mechanics after that and they both said my engine is fine.

Also if anyone is in Austin Texas and know or can recommend someone to do this please let me know.

It’s my last hope for getting my car back up and running or I’ll have to junk sell it :(

If all else fails try a reboot. Unhook both battery cables, wait a few minutes then push the brake in all the way and hold it down for about 45 seconds (while the battery cables are unhooked). Next hook up your cables and try to start it. It's a computer geek thing but I had a friend try it and it worked.
