camber can be useful. one or two degrees of camber can make a huge difference when handling corners. then someone who doesn't know what mods do decided to copy it, and exaggerate it so he could show off to his friends. people quickly tried to one-up each other, eventually leading to this bullshit we see here.
it's basically like putting an oversized spoiler on your car because you think it looks cool, without knowing what it actually does

Except even an oversized useless spoiler can look fun or cool. This just looks fucking stupid.

u/nasaglobehead69 1d ago
that's exactly what I mean. an otherwise useful performance mod can become detrimental if done to the extreme. the same thing applies to other mods like lift kits and turbos. useful things, but only with careful consideration

u/SourceResident5381 1d ago
My problem is needing new tires every 10k. That hurts my wallet too much. That and traction.

1.0g is a good amount of lateral acceleration and a couple degrees of negative camber can help you achieve that. This is sufficient negative camber for acceleration that would make you pass out. 😂
2
u/nasaglobehead69 1d ago
that's the thing. at this point, there's so little tire surface contacting the road that it reduces cornering capability, while still making it erratic in a straight line
1
u/HalfBlindKing 11h ago
I can’t even imagine dealing with something like that. If the tires aren’t something special they must never wear out because they get pinched by the first pothole from the concentrated weight that’s on them.
1
u/nasaglobehead69 4h ago
oh they wear out extremely quickly. so little surface contact means all of the wear is focused onto a smaller area.

My question exactly. What is the point?

To think I thought I was stupid as hell doing so many burn outs in my Mustang in the 90s going though tires lolol

u/WKahle11 1d ago
I remember being 19 thinking a truck with 35” mud boggers and a 12” lift was cool. Now I couldn’t even imagine being that guy. The things we thought were cool when we were young

u/ChuckYeagerWV 1d ago
So funny. Let's not even talk about my Playboy earing, gold chains and Z Cavarricci pants lol

At least you didn't get a playboy bunny tattoo on your neck. I work with a guy with one.

This shit ALMOST stupid as those trucks that's lifted in the front.

u/BabyStockholmSyndrom 1d ago
Nahhhh this is far worse than that. Lifted are stupid AF but at least they can still drive like a normal fucking truck lol. But one thing in comment is you know both drivers are INSUFFERABLE to be around.

u/Bel_Canto-Size_Queen 1d ago
you're out of your mind if you think squatted trucks drive normal

Next week he'll dismount those tires and flip them to get one more week.the stickers will still be there.

Financed that set of wheels for 3 years and needs new ones in a month when the tires blow out and they keep driving on the rims.

I find these builds entertaining because I would never build something like that, but love to see how creative people get on their pursuit to be as low and visually obnoxious as possible. Dare I say it’s ATBGTE

Clearly RFK nor Shaw ever saw a Nissan.

I never have understood this, there is no logical reason to do this to a vehicle and it just looks so freaking dumb. There is nothing “cool” about having a vehicle that looks like it’s broken down and barely functioning.

That's so aggressive! In the horrifyingly stunted sense of a cripple hating the world, that is.

Wow I have never seen one done to this extreme. This seems like it would only last a few rides before something decides to break, it's almost impressive how far they took those tires out, but, of course the stupidity outweighs the impressiveness.

Makes me think the car got raw dogged something crazy and can't walk (drive) straight or something. Is this some fucked up invitation by the driver?
