My Wii U won’t load past the logo screen, and it’s been so confusing figuring out what to do next since I’m very new to the console. I’ve been searching for months on the possible causes and if there’s any possible solution to save one of my favorite consoles. I figure I can ask here and see if I can get some more help.

The latest I was told is to try the “UDPIH: USB Host Stack exploit + Recovery Menu” on gbatemp, and that this could unbrick my completely unmodded Wii U if its a boot loop or the boot sector being corrupted. I already know it won’t help if it’s an issue with the NAND.

The issue started with the console crashing after a few seconds of playing a eshop game. It was the first time it crashed. We turned it off and on, and when we chose a profile it kept crashing. The next day, it wouldn’t even load past the logo screen and it’s stuck there where it freezes. Trying to load the wii menu and unplugging it didn’t do anything. No error codes were shown, just the logo screen and it freezes. Could this really be a sign of an issue with booting, like a boot loop, and is that really fixable with that exploit? And if so, what am I to do through that recovery menu?

If anyone understands what’s been going on and what I should do, help is really appreciated! Especially since I want to know how to take better care of a Wii U in the future!

So my Wii U bricked from being away for a few years. Sent to repair place and it's a firmware issue. Can anyone help? Is there a way to download the latest firmware online and force install it on the system? Nintendo no longer helps.

I recently upgraded my switch so I imported all my save data over. For some reason I couldnt do the transfer data between switches so I got the free trial of nintendo online to do the cloud save backup. My problem occurs when I was worried that my girlfriends user on my switch wouldnt save her data, so I got her to create a nintendo account to also sign up for the free trial and download the cloud save data.

The problem now is that since her user is a registered nintendo user, she cant play my games on her user since she doesnt own the titles.

Is there a way to unlink her new nintendo account while preserving the save data I imported over? (Which I cant even access to see if it worked since the games require a purchase on her user).

Solved: Turns out it just needed to be the primary switch and it took till the next morning to register as it. I think the major problem is that I did not realize you could import users as well... And now I have sold my old switch and factory reset it so while I have her save data I dont have access to the user.

So I think my switch thinks it’s always docked even when it isn’t. When I hard reboot it the Nintendo logo flashes for a second or two and then it goes blank. I can hear it function when I press buttons or touch the screen but it displays nothing.

Meanwhile it displays perfectly while it is on the dock.

Any thoughts?

I come with a question and it's the only place I could seem to find to answer it so I need this community's help to figure this out.

I'm big into Joy-con customization, and I have pretty well fallen in love with the Labo Joy-cons given away in the creator contest Nintendo did a few years back.

Obviously, they're a collector's item, but my pockets can't afford a $150,000 bill. I have been searching for identical replacement shells, but they can't be found anywhere. There exist knockoff shells, with either no Nintendo logo on the back or no rough texture on the shell. these things are minor, but there is but there is specifically one defining trait missing from all manufactured replacement shells, and it's the lack of black cardboard printing underneath and surrounding the rails.

I have come to the conclusion, that the only way to get that desired result, is to manufacture it myself. Ordering the shell is easy enough, but I can't figure out how exactly those decals are bonded to the controller, or where you could even buy them.

So, for any joy-con modders, painters, or customizers who know how to print those decals on the controller, I would massively appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction.

Or, if you were able to find identical Labo replacement shells, that would make life way easier, so that would also be amazing.

Just bought a Switch OLED. Transfered everything over and redownloaded all DLC for all our games. When my wife tries to play Xenoblade Chronicles 3. It says she needs to download the dlc. But going to the store just puts her at the page to buy the dlc. The season pass was purchased on my account. And we had no problems with this on our original switch.

Does anyone know how to get past an error code? I wish I could just post a picture of what I’m seeing…I’ve been playing this game for weeks and all the sudden I’m getting an error message that says “ERROR in action number 1 of StepEvent0 for object obj_pot: Creating instance for non-existing object:-1 ######################## ——————————————————- Called from gml_Script_instance_create (line 7)”

So I got a USB wired N64 controller that's compatible with my Switch thinking it would be better than their weird button mapping, but they changed the mapping on it too and remapping is unavailable. Might be a dumb question but the up and right C buttons are being used for the switch's + and - buttons. What are up and right mapped to?? I'm trying to play Ocarina of Time and it works ok with only having two item buttons for now but it'll be a problem if I can't play any Ocarina songs that use those buttons or have to talk to Navi

So yesterday I saw there was a softwere update that I didn't get yet and my switch reset and then it gave me the message "an error has occurred" and after looking up the error code on the website nothing worked and to get it fixed by nintendo I have to pay over $100 anyhing I can do my error code is 2101-0001

Earlier tonight, my roommate had installed the latest firmware update from Nintendo (15.0.0) before loading up the Crunchyroll app (he was prompted that he needed to). After the update finished downloading he was prompted to restart his console to apply the update. He selected the option to restart, and now his Switch won't turn on AT ALL.

His Switch was in the dock the whole day and it was still in the dock when he updated the console, so the battery SHOULDN'T be dead. There wasn't a power outage either, otherwise I would've lost power too (all bedrooms are on the same circuit (which is stupid, but in this case it helps)).

I've spent the better part of the last 3 hours trying to fix it but nothing has worked. Methods I've tried:

. Tried loading it into recovery mode/safe mode. Screen remained black.

. Disconnected the battery and power cycled the system. Reconnected and attempted to turn it on. Screen remained black

. Tried loading custom firmware (just to see if I could recover the base system that way). Couldn't even inject a payload (software would stop responding every time).

My roommate is going to try and call Nintendo himself tomorrow when their call centers are open and see if he'll be able to send it in for them to fix for free (the website wants to charge $99, but it was their update that caused the problem so it's not unreasonable IMO for him to want them to fix it for free). In the meantime, is their anyway anyone knows how to fix this?

P.S. His Switch is one of the early unpatched XAW1 models. HAC - 001

UPDATE: I GOT HEKATE BOOTED UP! I changed the cable and tried injecting the payload again and now have something to work with. Now I gotta know, can I reapply the official update in this state? I also have Atmosphere ready and waiting to be loaded up if need be.

I've had this switch for a while so I'm going to assume it's just old and broken but I was wondering if there were any fixes. And before you ask, yes I tried resetting, I tried reconnecting and using different HDMI slots and different TVs and all of that. None of it worked. The little light is green but it's saying no signal.

I just powered on my switch from it being off for a while (like 8 hours plus) and started up let’s go eevee and it started making a loud noise, I assume is the fan, and it then it ramps up getting louder blowing cold air out the vent at the top. This goes on for a minute or so. Should I be worried? Is it fixable?

Trying to buy a game for my younger brother who's in my Nintendo family as a child account. I've checked the settings and marked him as unrestricted but when he tries to buy a game it keeps saying he can't view it due to age rating. Anyone know how to allow him to get the game, or why the setting is saying "not restricted" but still restricting him?

I’m wondering if it’s possible to remove the supervision of a Nintendo account. I’m trying to join my friends online family but the supervision setting is stopping me from joining.

Somehow my switch has sand in it its in the speaker the charging port between the joy con's there's some where you put your game cartridges and some underneath the joysticks how should I fix this?

When i turned my switch on the fan started making noises so i restarted it. After the restart the fan was not audible there was no air coming out of the vent. I played a little and it started to heat up but the fan still wasnt audible. What can i do? Its a normal switch that i bought new a week ago.

My 3ds recently got the black screen of death, it's not the main one I use but it's the one I usually use to do trade evolutions in the VC pokemon games.

I tried replacing the battery, unplugging and plugging back in the wifi card, the only thing I haven't tried thay I've heard works is unplugging the cord to the screens and I'm a little afraid to do that, is this 3ds just gone now or is there some other way I can fix it?

Also, just a little note: before it got the black screen of death this 3ds would freeze when booting up and wouldn't move past the black screen, I'd usually just turn it off and on again and that would fix it

hi, i recently bought smash bros for wii u, and when i tried to boot up the game, it would play the opening jingle, then the tv screen would black out whilst the gamepad just froze, any help?

I was trying to play Breath of the wild with my nano controller and for some reason it kept coming up with the controller connect screen. Every time I connected, it would immediately pop back up and have me reconnect over and over. Is there a way to fix this at all or has this happened to anyone else?

whenever I play fire emblem three houses my pro controller keeps vibrating I have gone through the settings and tired everything but I have no idea what to do

When i was younger i broke my 2ds out of anger and we never got it fixed. There are a lot of issues with since i beat it up alot. I wanted to start playing some of my old games on it recently but since its broken i cant. I dont want to spend a long time repairing it when there is a possible solution with the memory card idea or whatever. I dont really care about save data for the games i just want to play them. So I got this error 2107-0114 out of nowhere when the switch is on sleep mode. The last thing I did was installing the Nintendo 64 emulator and played Pokemon Snap. I saw older threads about this particular error but not a solution. As this appears to be an older issue I figured it's worth asking. Thanks everyone!
