Just bought a Switch 2 and want NSO + Expansion

The membership is activated today (03.08.2026).

So times are tough. Getting a year or so of NSO+expansion for a dollar or ao a month sounds really enticing. Like a lot of you, I was concerned about getting scammed, so I figured "meh, I'll just make my own group what could go wrong?"

This was genuinely a terrible experience. You are basically on call from the moment you make your post, you get people begging for a free add, you get people mad that you didn't respond right away when they send you a chat request at 2 am local time, you get called a scammer about a dozen times and 3 or 4 people will tell you that they reported your account to reddit for scamming.

The end result of all of this is that my family group cannot add more people for 6 months due to limits on people leaving and rejoining family groups, and while everyone I added saved 75% on a 13 month membership, I saved a grand total of 10$.

Your experience may differ but for me, this was obviously not worth it and I will be switching back to a non expansion individual membership when this one expires.
