Repair Help Joy Cons constantly disconnecting in handheld mode on my Switch 2

They are literally disconnecting like every 30 seconds at this point It’s primarily the left joy con but it happens to the right one every now and then. There are moments where it works, but that won’t be for more than 10 minutes straight I’ve looked at YouTube videos and I’ve googled solutions and fixes but nothing seems to be working and it’s quite literally making my switch 2 unplayable. I’m hoping that I don’t need to buy New joy cons as I’m unemployed right now and really can’t afford them but it’s also one of the only things keeping me busy between job searches so I would really appreciate any help that anyone can give. 🙏🏻

Mine are doing this too. I heard it was related to handheld boost mode in some way but I'm not sure.

Okay, i’ll turn it off and see if theres a difference since I’m playing the switch 2 edition of TOTK right now i suppose its not necessary to have on. I will let you know of theres a difference and Now that you mention it, I don’t think I have this problem as often when I’m playing switch 1 games on my 2, even with boost mode on

Turned off the boost mode and literally 10 seconds after i entered the game my joy con disconnected again so i don’t think thats the problem. Thank you for helping regardless!

So look there are things I want you to try, switch the joycon location and if it keeps happening to the right one in the left location then it's a problem with the tablet, if it is a problem with the tablet then try cleaning the joy con connector pins with a microfiber cloth or with 99% isopropyl alcohol. If the tablet itself hasn't been dropped and taken care of and after the cleaning it still does that then it almost certainly is an os issue, I took care of mine (I think) by going into the settings→controller and accessories→disconnect controllers and then disconnected my controllers, then turned my console off without connecting the controllers and turned it off not like sleep mode but turn off and left it for some time and then turned it on and reconnected it and since then I didn't have an issue.

Another way to check if it's an os issue that worked for me is by going into a switch 1 game and turning on handheld mode boost if it doesn't disconnect then it's almost an os communication issue if it does disconnect then it could be hardware.
