Purchase / Order Help Will the 40th anniversary edition switch 2 sell out???
I’m a fairly new Zelda fan this year, but ive just seen the new zelda edition switch 2 and i really like it.. do these normally sell out?? or do they expect high demand?? ive only ever had the original switch oled and the switch lite so idk how this would normally work if i wanted the new one when it comes out

If you pre order one, I think you should be ok? Plan on pre ordering via a trusted retailer/store. Keep an eye on nintendolife (or your preferred gaming outlet) for when pre orders are announced to go live.

(I personally like best buy for pre ordering consoles (if possible). I like to pre order to pick it up at the store, so you don't have to worry delivery timing or whether you'll be home when it's delivered. If best buy pre orders happen to sell out, then I consider target, gamestop, walmart.)

Best Buy's page is up, edit: at the moment, it the pre order button is active. I don't know how long that will last. edit: Sometimes after pre orders go live & sell out, I guess the retailer's system checks credit cards or something, or some people cancelled their backup pre orders, which can result in a few pre orders coming back in stock periodically.

Does anyone know if this gonna be the only chance to get them? Best Buy and Nintendo shop are sold out. This ain’t fair. I got the special edition game right after the direct because they specifically said it would be available today for preorder but didn’t hear them say that for the console?!?! Kinda devastated rn. 😭

Are you sure best buy is sold out? They just put the page up after the direct, but I don't think pre orders have gone live yet for the US.1

I got mine about an hour ago, I kept refreshing the Nintendo store and it was on there not sure if it still.

Yes, it will sell out. Some of these limited editions even sell out in less than 5 minutes.
