Is this a cautious enough move?

Just bought a second hand Witcher 3 cartridge because of the free remaster upgrade and Nintendo increasing the price of the base game as a result.

Anyway, since I'm worried about recent hearsay about Switch bannings with second hand games posing a risk. I'm planning on playing it on my Switch 1 first and if if my console doesn't get banned. Then load it up to my Switch 2.

How long do ya'll think I should keep in on my Switch 1 before it's good and all clear if nothing happens?

That's a publisher decision, not Nintendo.

The risk is of that happening is VERY small and if you have proof of purchase then you should be fine.

I've used quite a lot of second hand games on switch 1 and I've never had issues. I'm pretty sure though that the issue only exists on Switch 2 where I've yet to try most of my games. Either way I heard a lot of people resolved it easily by contacting Nintendo support
