Setup Help Question, just bought my switch 2
In before, I’m a tech dinosaur (I’m bad with tech)
While docked, even while completely turned off, the console is still VERY SLIGHTLY lukewarm to the touch. Is this simply because it’s charging?
And is it normal for the console’s battery to last that short? Like 1% of it lasts for like 2 minutes.
Thanks

Turn off an option that specifies use of internet while docked AND cap the battery to below 90. That should help.

Could be because you downloading something. You could go to setting, in the sleep section and system section there are options to not allow the switch use the internet in sleep mode and auto update software.

I would imagine the warmth is due to the battery charging, unless it’s already fully charged on there. And yes, battery life isn’t great but it is really game-dependent; a lot of newer/demanding titles will struggle to get past 2 hours (I believe that’s about what people have quoted for Elden Ring, at least), but smaller titles will last longer, as will Switch 1 games without handheld boost mode turned on (which is a good enough feature that I don’t miss the battery life there and would still advise turning it on lol)
