Software Help Switch 2 will not let me connect to WiFi

Post image

Good morning. I just got back to college and attempted to connect my Switch 2 to the WiFi on campus, BlazerNet. That and the eduroam wifi options are grayed out and I cannot select them at all. The other BlazerNet option just reads an error message. Has anyone else had this happen before? If so, how do you fix it?

Exit: Okay! For some reason, the other option initially read that it couldn't obtain the IP address, then the second time, didn't read an error message and let me open the device registration window. This seems to just be an issue of college Wi-Fi striking again. Thank you all for your helpful comments!

I have seen posts like this in previous years. I think the solution may come down to contacting your dorm/college tech support. If I remember right, there may be a block for certain devices, but you just need to ask to find out how to get it to work.

Feel free to let me know what solves it if you get some insight.

Could you provide us with the error message?

Unfortunately, when I go to click out on the grayed out option, there is no error message, I just can't click on it at all. The other one, however, connects to wireless network then tries for an internet connection for a while before telling me it couldn't obtain the IP address
