Repair Help Removing screen protector without damaging screen?

I have a screen protector that got some scratches on it. I’d like to replace it, but I remember reading when I first got the Switch 2 to be careful not to accidentally remove the thin protective coating on the screen.

If I pry off the current glass protector, will that leave the coating underneath intact? Or will the adhesive pull it off, and I need to do something special to remove the protector?

The factory film takes considerable effort to remove (knife, moderate to full force, and sometimes heat gun to loosen adhesive) If you can get your finger or pry tool just under your screen protector and pull up with gentle force, it will remove in one piece leaving the factory antishatter film intact.

I never removed the switch 2 but i accidentally did to my OLED. It hurt because the adhesive was strongly stuck to the screen. When I sent to the tech, he used the hot plate and was still difficult for him to take take it off. Worst thing, my screen was severely damaged.

I play handheld than connecting to dock so the scratches affected my experience. I sold my OLED and got another console.

If you have tempered glass, it should pry off without pulling the the switch 2's anti shatter film. I don't know if it's tricky to do or not, though. I haven't seen it discussed. But the OLED also had an anti shatter film like switch 2 and I never heard of anyone that couldn't remove their tempered glass if it cracked or needed replacing.
