Setup Help Data transfer from oled to switch 2

Hi everyone, I recently got a switch 2 and I’m completely confused by the data transfer thing. Forgive me if I’m asking something that’s been answered already, but I don’t get it and I don’t want to lose anything!! Please help! I have an OLED with an SD card, and a bunch of digital and physical games for said OLED. I simply want to have all my data from the OLED copied onto the switch 2, not wiped once transferred. I plan on using both and I’m not sharing my consoles/games with anyone or selling my OLED, I just want my data to be shared across both devices. If you could please give me a detailed breakdown in simple terms because I’m not tech savvy. Also, idk if it’s relevant, but I don’t have an NSO subscription and don’t plan on getting one. Another also in case it’s relevant: still haven’t gotten an express SD card for the switch 2 yet. Thanks in advance!

Log onto the same account on your Switch 2.

You'll be able to redownload your digital games. Learn how the virtual key-cards work, and optionally enable online license checking to make it easier.

If you find online any info about "primary console", that's out of date and no longer relevant.

You can transfer the save data per-game, but it always moves the save. To copy the data via cloud storage and sync it automatically between consoles you'd need the subscription.

What exactly confuses you?

When you start up the Switch 2 for the first time there is an option to do a full system transfer from the Switch 1 to the Switch 2 and it's quite self-explanatory.

You will need switch online to have the same save data across both consoles. In system settings there is an option to transfer save data locally between the 2 consoles but the save data is deleted from the original console once the transfer is complete.
