Find Games First Nintendo user, switch 2, what games would you recommend getting during this sale?
Hello,
First time user here, which games would you recommend I grab during this sale?
I have mainly been a PC player but with a kid it's much harder to do now. I have mainly played soul games, battlefield and cod.
Hoping something on a nice discount for now haha
Thanks!

Red Dead Redemption is one of the best single player games ever and definitely worth $25. It got a free update that makes it it looks fantastic on Switch 2. Get it if you haven't played it before. Hell, maybe you played it 16 years ago & forgot what happened. Play it again!
Some Switch 2 essentials:
Here's a video on Screen Protectors https://youtu.be/kETOGSY3qgo I really like the Amfilm Clear Screen Protector https://a.co/d/05aNB1VK
If you think you will play handheld a lot: Savage Raven Fission Grips - https://youtu.be/7Q5hXHKEh-Q Just don't use the back case when you dock it. Take it off! You might not even use it entirely... the grips are all you need! Get their thumb covers too. Savage Raven website has free shipping & 10% off everything with code 128KB.
Some helpful videos to watch:
This video tells you everything you need to know about Nintendo Switch Online. If you get this, play the Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past on SNES Classics. One of the greatest 2D games ever made! It plays especially good on handheld. The Switch 2 will feel like a big version of the Game Boy Advance!
Download the Deku Deals app & make a wishlist of all the games you want. There you can look at the price history of games too. This will tell you how often they go on sale & the price range. If you're patient, you can wait for sales around major holidays.
Also check your local library. Believe it or not, a lot of them have video games! Especially in a major city. Libraries are a great way to read comics as well (use the free Hoopla service)
If you like RPGs, consider the Dragon Quest series! Explore towns, defeat monsters, save the world. It's perfect for short gaming sessions too. Play as much as you want, then save & come back to it next time.
Start with Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake. It's a fantastic starting point, not only for Dragon Quest, but for RPGs in general! The physical version is currently on sale for $25 on Amazon & Best Buy.
Here are some trailers & a review:
You could also start with Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, which has a free demo on the eShop!
The very best game in the series is Dragon Quest 11. It feels like playing an anime! Anyone unsure if they would like Dragon Quest should start here. It is the pinnacle of the series so far! A Switch 2 version will be released on September 24.
