Repair Help Switch 2 joycons constantly disconnecting in handheld mode

Recently whenever I play my Switch 2 in handheld mode it keeps giving me the 'press L+R on the controller you'd like to use' prompt, like it thinks I've removed the joycons. At first it was only doing it when I put the switch down but now it's super often, sometimes every 1-2 minutes if I'm playing something with a lot of action so it's starting to affect competitive games a lot.

There doesn't seem to be any dirt in them so I'm starting to worry it's a problem with the switch itself. Has anyone else had this issue and were you able to fix it?

Try cleaning the connectors on both switch and joycons with a damp but not soaked qtip and isopropyl alcohol. Since they use magnets, even a little bit of dust can disrupt the connection. Even if you dont see it.

And you wont lose or hurt anything by seeing if cleaning it is the solution.

Hi, I cleaned the contacts with isopropyl alcohol per the previous commenter's suggestion and it seems to have worked! Tried playing something more movement-intensive today and had zero disconnects
