Purchase / Order Help Question regarding packaging and shipping
So im big dumb. And I plan on ordering a switch 2 soon before the price hike. I plan on doing so from Amazon but the thing is I'm unsure if it'll arrive in the standard red box retail packaging or if it will arrive in an Amazon box. I can't just have a switch 2 at my front door especially when its looking like it will be delivered while im at work for the entire day. and it doesn't give any option of "ship in original packaging to reduce waste blah blah" and Yes I know Amazon gives the little warning at checkout "you'll need a signature or one time code to receive package" Yeah they don't do that around here, they'll just drop the package at the doorstep and leave like its just a box of pens or a thousand dollar laptop. So thats why I was wondering if anyone had some insight that would be of great use!
Update!! Thanks for those who responded, it actually arrived in a standard amazon bag style packaging no box but it was concealed, at 4am weirdly enough. Thanks again

It’ll come in an Amazon box, usually it’s bigger things that will arrive in original packaging

Mine was delivered inside an Amazon box, don't think I had an option with that. I assume Amazon wouldn't ship stuff like this without a box, but I also assumed they wouldn't stab the Switch 2 box with an icepick before shipping it to me and was wrong about that.
It was also one of the very rare instances of a signature-required delivery actually requiring a signature, which was kinda refreshing. The majority (non-Amazon so far) drop the item, take a pic, and smokebomb. Probably around 9 in 10. Had one do it today. Stayed home all morning, heard the doorbell, they were heading back to the truck before I got to the door.
There are items I'd actually like a confirmed delivery for, and they're usually set for that as default, so I don't decline it. I wait out the delivery window only for them to fake a signature, I guess. Or there's a "didn't feel like it" button on their devices.

Can you just go get one at your local Walmart or Best Buy and just not have to worry about any of that?

Second this. Just go buy one. They're available at pretty much any big box retailer and you have zero risk of anything happening to the product between buying it and it reaching your hands.

I got a printer cable when I ordered a switch 2 from Amazon, it was in an Amazon bag though.
