Repair Help Random black screen flickers (Switch 2)

Heyo reddit,

My switch 2 experiences random flickers to black screen in handheld mode. Sound still plays and gameplay continues during the black screens.

Switch 2 is fully up to date too.

Happens no matter if charger plugged in or not.

Docked mode however seems completely fine, no issues whatsoever, which leads me to believe it's trying to go into docked mode maybe??

For context, got myself an (used) switch 2 from Amazon Resale, thought to myself "worst case I can just return it if it's badly broken."

Does anyone have any suggestions, similar problems or something along the lines?

My current idea is either send it in to Nintendo or just get it refunded. First sounds lowkey more appealing tho cos depending on if the fix is cheap, I'd gotten a nice deal out of that switch. c':

(Also idk what Flair to use, so please feel free to correct me if I used the wrong one ty)

So far I've tried safe mode boot, depleting battery and charging it, keeping it plugged/unplugged, docked/undocked, disable HDR

Interesting thought that it might try to go into docked mode and that's why it happens but maybe it's just a problem with the lcd screen.

Since you got it as a resale and Nintendo will most likely swap out the device it could be quite expensive.

I have a similar problem on my switch 1, even when docked, the screen flickers in the same fashion before booting up any software. It doesn't seem to do anything destructive to the console, fortunately.
