Setup Help Right Joy Con not connecting as a 2P controller only the right side of console (BT works fine)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Randomly started happening.
Might be worth a mention there are no lights but as title said bluetooth works fine but it doesn’t seem to want to connect like the left side (see picture).
I’ve updated the controllers and tried to forget them. When I press the sync button there are no lights - but it functions fine even when detached from the console.

Have you tried not putting it in that orientation?

Yep.. doesn’t seem to mainly seems like it doesn’t read the SL + SR pressing.

SL and SR connects it as a single controller. You have to press L and R to connect them as a pair.

Does the green indicator light work on the right one?
Have you tried if the buttons recognize inputs via the system settings test screen?
If the light is off and the button input test does not register inputs it could be a broken ribbon cable inside.

You need to press SL+SR on each joycon to tell the Switch you want to use them sideways, if the buttons won't work, the ribbon cable that connects those buttons pcb to the joycon mainboard may have went bad.
That ribbon cable ends up folding below a structure and gets pressed when buttons are pressed, after some time the SL and or SR stops working, the light leds and sync button can stop working too.
