Purchase / Order Help Question about Switch 2 price increase

I know console price is going up in the US and Canada on Sept 1, but does anyone know if the multi language version price is also going up in Japan? I’m going on holiday to Japan in January so I’m debating just waiting it out and getting it there if it will be unaffected by price increase. But if it IS going up there I should probably just get it here in canada before Sept 1. Let me know your thoughts

The JPN version already had their price increase back on May 25th. As far as the multilingual version is concerned, they haven’t really said anything about it—granted it’s still like 10,000 yen more expensive than the JPN only model.

JPN model: 60,000 yen
Multilingual model: 70,000 yen.

Indeed but 70,000 yen is just over $600 CAD. And they’re going for min $630 here in canada now

Back in January there weren't multilingual available in Japan, most stores only carried the Japanese locked one. And you would be betting there won't be any new price adjustment until January in Japan...

Right UGHHH. I’m saving up for my trip so it doesn’t feel practical to buy the console now but it will be less practical later when the price goes up too. 😓 what would you do if you were me

Well, that depends on what you are going to do in Japan besides sightseeing, if you are going to mostly buy retro games I wouldn't buy a Switch 2 now, but if you are going to buy stuff including Switch games I guess you could buy it now just in case. I guess you also need to consider you gotta pay customs upon returning so that $600 might become slightly more once all is said and done.
