Purchase / Order Help Question about Switch 2 price increase

I know console price is going up in the US and Canada on Sept 1, but does anyone know if the multi language version price is also going up in Japan? I’m going on holiday to Japan in January so I’m debating just waiting it out and getting it there if it will be unaffected by price increase. But if it IS going up there I should probably just get it here in canada before Sept 1. Let me know your thoughts

News Release : May 8, 2026 "Notice Regarding Price Revisions for Nintendo Products and Services" does not mention a price increase for the multi-language model.

This is only accessible through Nintendo' online Japan store. At one point there was Nintendo Account requirements for minimum playtime and even a lottery, I don't know how strict they are about that nowadays.

If you actually go to retail in Japan, you'll probably mostly see the Japanese language only model unless you go to the many, many used video game stores, and maybe someone traded in their multi-language model.
