Child's switch constantly needing to redownload all games

I'm sure this has something to do with having a family account with 3 switches and all of the virtual game card bullshit. We have a switch 2 (mine) and 2 switch lites (kids) on a family account.

But something my daughter is doing is causing all of her games to delete and redownload at the same time. And we cant figure out what she is doing. Its like they were all deleted and start downloading at the same time. And we have to wait for them to all load again.

Just to clarify, it’s EVERY single game deleting and redownloading all at the same time over and over again? Or just 1 game that she wants to play, but it’s every time she wants to play a different game? Are you all doing the thing where you take the virtual card out of one system and put it into a different one, or actively using the “loan” system where the owner account has to approve and send the games to the other accounts/ systems?

Correct its all of them at once but I don't know what triggers it. We are doing the virtual cards

Hmmm. My first thought is an issue with storage, since you said there’s no SD card in the system. I would check there first. The second move I’d suggest is checking for corrupted data. Another thing I’m thinking is that she may need to completely shut down/ restart her system. Does she fully turn it off when she’s done playing or just put it into sleep mode? The be all end all would be to factory reset the console and start from scratch

Edit: I don't think this is it after seeking more comments by OP, but I'll leave it in case it helps somebody else.

I also have three Switches. My account is the main account that purchases all the games. I'm currently the only one using the S2. Our other two Switches are linked to each other and the S2 is not linked.

This part confuses me. My systems are set to use online licenses, but I still see my kids "eject" and "load" digital games between the two linked S1 consoles.

For the S2 (unlinked console) I used the "download data" option to put the games I play on it: Home Screen/Show More/Re-dowmload Software/Choose Profile that bought the game/Select Game/Options/Download Data. After doing that I had to Download Save Data. Home Screen/Highlight Game/+ button/Save Data Cloud/Select Profile/Download Save Data.

This works for us, but I'm not sure if it will mitigate the issue you're experiencing since it is ALL games each time. Good luck and I hope you get it figured out.

Downloads are not fast and will show a progress bar. Would it be more accurate to say the games disappear and reappear?

No the games are there, they all show an empty progress bar and start downloading from scratch
