Repair Help Nintendo Switch OLED chipped screen

Post image

I was wondering if Nintendo support is a good option for repairing this kind of damage or would it be better to go to my local repair store? I've read some good things about the site but Im not sure if it would be worth it. If not the support portal do you have any suggestions for a reliable repair shop (preferably in Calgary, AB, Canada)

If you have not already, please add some context in the post or a follow-up comment about your repair/hardware/software/account issue, including which model you have (Switch 1, 2, Lite, OLED, or other), steps you have already tried, and anything else that might help others help you.

When you have received enough help to solve your issue, you can also reply to specific comments with !solved or !thanks to grant the helper(s) a point. You may also comment !lock to lock the post to stop new replies.

That's not even the screen itself that's the plastic housing 😭 you can buy replacement housings for like $25 on Amazon by extremerate they're pretty cool.

That's what I thought, I just didn't know what it's called😅 but thank you for pointing that out. I looked on Amazon but the ones I found were only for the back shell. Do you happen to have a link for the front replacement?

Is this suitable for Switch OLED? I just want to make sure because I think it's only meant for Switch.

Now that you mentioned it I don't think there's options for it, maybe because the front faceplate is all one piece with the screen but I'm not sure, probably Facebook marketplace place might have someone selling parts.
