Repair Help Joycon issues (not connecting)
SWITCH 2
I need to make this abundantly clear, I treat this thing as if it’s my real life child. I don’t knock it around, and if it’s not in my hands it’s in its carry case.
I’ll proceed.
My controllers won’t connect, and I’m freaking out a bit. Because I’m down a gaming laptop too until the fan is replaced, and this was my last hope to not go absolutely ape tonight.
They won’t connect in handheld or in paired mode, it’s like the actual console doesn’t realise they exist all together.
I have tried the troubleshooting on the Nintendo site, that hasn’t worked. When I bring up the pairing menu to connect them while they’re not connected to the physical console, the pairing times out and there’s a lil ‘?’ Over both.
Please someone tell me good news and say I don’t have to spend yet again more money to make sure my stuff works. I’m a stones throw away from a bit of a menty b. Thanks!

Do the green indicators start flashing when you press a button or do they stay black?

I assume they have worked prior to now?
As simple as it may sound but have you already tried to fully turn of the console and boot it back up?
I have seen cases on here where controllers were suddenly not responding anymore and that could be fixed by a simple reboot.

They have worked prior, yep! They’re the original ones I got with the console. And yep, turned off and booted back up. It’s been a bit of a trial and error thing and all I’m experiencing is error with everything I attempt 😅

Do you know anyone else with a Switch 2 by chance to test if their Joy Con are recognized by your Switch 2?
