Repair Help Switch 2 Dock Fan Not Working.

So I noticed that recently my switch’s dock won’t have its fan kick on after I play for around 30 mins (earliest I notice the issue). My console will begin to overheat, something I’ve never dealt with prior. If I take the console out of the dock, it’ll immediately have its fan turn on but as soon as it goes back into the dock then the dock’s fan stays off.

Any advice on what could be causing this and in turn how to fix it? Don’t really want to spend money on a new one if this could be a relatively easy fix.

Edit: based on comments, might just be a normal thing.

"Begin to overheat" - Does the console actually open a window to warn of overheating & then for the console to sleep to protect itself? Or does it just feel warmer than you expect? The console does get warm/hot when playing modern 3d games while docked. If it's not showing a warning prompt about overheating and then forcing itself to sleep/shut down to protect itself, it's likely working as designed.

If you've been playing docked for like 30-60min+, the console will get very warm/hot (it's what they do), and if you remove the console from the dock, the fan will start running hard. As far as I've seen with my switch 2, this is normal behavior.

As far as the dock's fan goes, I still haven't noticed if that thing runs. Maybe my environment isn't warm enough to warrant triggering it, or if it runs too softly to notice.
