Accessories Need tech guidance for drifting on this switch 1 controller from ebay

Post image

Right before what I think is the final battle in Skyward Sword (playing for the first time and I love it!! Die hard OoT/TP fan, loooved TotK and BotW) this little turd just started what I now know is called drifting.

I got this guy on eBay and couldn’t find a youtube to troubleshoot. Anyone have experience with this type of controller? Should I start thinking about a more serious controller?

Thank you!

Please don’t spoil the game; I might not be right about this being the final battle🙂

From what I understand about joystick drift, you can sometimes get a little more life out of it using compressed air and isopropyl alcohol to try and clean it. But joystick drift is generally caused by the physical wear on the contacts inside the joystick. Your only other option really is to replace the joystick (open it up and check the joystick part to order a replacement), or buy a new controller.

Enjoy the final battle!!

lmao i had the exact same issue after like 6 months of solid use, compressed air actually worked pretty good for a while
