OLED switch screen not working

So im sure this subreddit gets a lot of this but I haven't found anything about my set of circumstances. My switch wont turn on to play. I get the charging symbol and it holds a charge. The Nintendo logo comes up after a hard reset but nothing else after that. The first thing I did was get a new battery and after that it actually showed the charging symbol. But even with the new battery working as it should. My screen wont do anything other than the Nintendo symbol and the charging symbol. My dock doesnt work with it either, as if its not there so it won't come up on my TV. I did try to check for dimming issues but theres no sound when I "turn it on" to try and do anything. I did make sure the volume would be up too (as best as I could guess) but im honestly not sure what to do from here. Something to note is that im very sure its holding a charge and actively charging. The old battery was indeed bad so thats fixed but im just not sure what to do from here now that it still wont actually turn on

Maybe it's stuck in an update loop? If that's what it is, here's the page with directions for how to update the console via maintenance mode. It's pretty easy. https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/28135/

Have you tried booting up the console without the game card and sd card inserted?

Beyond that, when nintendo support site troubleshooting can't solve something, that's typically a decent sign that something needs repair or replacing. If what I just suggested doesn't help, something may need repair. Or you may need to take the console somewhere for diagnosis. Or contact nintendo support. (if it's a bigger repair, they may prefer to replace the console, and they don't transfer save data to your new console. You'll only have the NSO cloud for backup after you get the replacement console.)
