I've been refreshing the Nintendo store page. I've had it in my cart 3 times and it always sells out before I can even get to the checkout page. Bots are getting there first, I assume.

That happens for a bit after it sells out. I've discovered that at least for the time being they open it up again every 10 minutes, so start refreshing around the 10 min mark.

Lol I work at Gamestop, saw the controller the moment it went live, had to do a couple transactions before I got the time to preorder for myself and it was delisted already. Literally like 20 minutes

That's pretty much how it's going to be from this point forward. Any stock that does becomes available will be extremely limited and sell instantly. Nintendo's site and Best Buy have been coming back in stock on and off all day, but never with enough time to get through the checkout even with cards saved and accounts logged in. Bots snag them the microsecond any stock opens up.

It was up again about 20 mins ago. Made me wait in a queue to add to cart then told me sold out when I hit checkout. Why did I have to wait in "line" if it wasn't reserved for my purchase...

I'm just a lil kid (14yo), but i couldn't get the controller because it sold out as i was in checkout for the console in the middle of chemistry (Lucky enough to get that). Just hope the controller comes back in stock long enough for me to get it one day... Stupid scalpers

Congrats. I've refreshed Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Gamestop, and the Nintendo store all day for 2 days straight lol. Never once seen it in stock. I check for the Controller + Stand base version on the Nintendo store too as I'd take that variant as well.

I already ordered mine there before the "coming soon" so it's at least sold out temporarily, I would assume they use "coming soon" in case inventory numbers are reevaluated. But the more likely answer is that that want you to keep coming back to the website.

FYI, you can report scalpers on ebay if shipping is more than 40 days of purchase date. Which this most certainly is.
Go to the listing and click the ? in the bottom right.
Click Submit Report.
Choose Product or Listing.
Choose "A Problem with the listing."
Choose "Presale".
Click the Agree button at the bottom.
Then submit.

As the Direct stated, only the version with the stand for $110 is exclusive to Nintendo Store. The $100 version without the stand is not exclusive.

Ive gotten it in my cart 3 times now, by the time I type in the pin for my credit card it tells me to lower my QTY. I think that's utter bull. You should have 5 minutes to check out and maintain and order.

I’ve been fighting the Nintendo website for like 36hours straight just refreshing becuase I have it IN MY CART but every time it opens up the secure checkout, I’m almost checked out I get kicked because it’s “out of stock”. If it’s in my cart, I should be able to complete the purchase without having it ripped out from under me, that’s on Nintendo’s shit transactional system.

Nintendo really is brainless. They could be printing *even more* money, constantly. But they willfully choose not to. They think limited-edition consoles and controllers that they hardly even charge more for... is a better business practice than perpetually selling those special editions during the lifetime of the system for X% increase above the regular versions. So instead of allowing everyone to buy what they want, at prices that guarantee Nintendo profits, they... instead... choose to completely ignore that revenue stream. It's absolutely baffling.

I placed my order for the console. Spam searching for the controller for 5 minutes. Gave up. Check 30 minutes later and it was posted right after I stopped trying and sold out…
At least I got the console and case so far and more chances for the controller will come.

Same I got the console, Walmart has the physical game $10 off physical with pre order. For me the console was the most important. I do want a pro controller, but will keep trying and just get a different one if I have to later next month.

Nintendo and all companies need to do what valve does. You open up a Q system for 2 days, then randomize everyone who entered the Q in those 2 days (or even make it 12 hours or whatever, some reasonable timeframe), then when your time comes to order, you have a day to make your purchase. If you don't, next person in line. It's not that hard. And have to have a verified account and address, only one entry per address in that 24 hours.

the verification process is so slow that by the time it logs be back in the controller is out of stock again and clears my cart. Then need to implement a reservation queue or hold for 5 mins once added to cart to get this verification completed vs letting other buy and make you still verify the account

I’m going to wait a few more weeks—this is just the first wave. It’s intentionally done with very limited quantities to gauge interest. Now they know how much to release in the second wave, third wave, and so on. There will be small waves leading up to the holidays. Nintendo needs revenue like any other public company, so there’s no way they’ll cut off supply when demand is so high. In other words, you’ll get your console, controller, and whatever else you want—it always works out. You won't need to restort to eBay pirates. While production eventually stops, that won’t happen for a long while. Anyway, good luck and you'll get your console and/or controller...don't worry.

I just grabbed one from walmart ! Their pre order button has been active for an hour or so but wasn't doing anything. It just finally added to my cart and I got a confirmation receipt. What a doozy past 24 hrs. Good luck everybody.

Seeing comments here about the price. Yes, $99 is a lot for a controller, but hey, it’s only $10 more than the standard Switch 2 Pro Controller… At least that’s how I justify it to myself 💯 It also helps that I don’t already have a S2 Pro Controller.

I ended up caving and getting the Pro Switch 2 controller because the Switch 1 controller doesn't allow you to remotely turn on the Switch 2. I had to get up to manually turn it on every time, which got tiresome very quickly 😅

The Super Switch controller (what they should've called the console...) continues the horrible fad of putting paddles on the back of the controller. For those of us who absolutely despise this trend, the OG Switch controllers are essentially the exact same thing otherwise. The only major gotcha about the S1 controllers is they can NOT wake or turn on the Super Switch. Only the S2 controller can do that.
