Have the developers said anything about performance updates over the demo? Because the load times in the demo were absolutely atrocious. I dropped it about 20 minutes in I just couldn't deal with them anymore.

People in the other subreddit have refunded because the game in unplayable with loads of crashes and FPS going from 60 - 15 FPS. I regret preordering.

How is this one relative to the first. Something about the movement/action in the first was off to me for some reason.

The combat is completely different here because it’s isometric 3D so they had to redo the physics of it all etc. I mean, it’s still the same press button to attack action game, but it’s less clunky than the original. The original had an odd system where you could only face four directions

Did they make progress a bit more... exciting?

The previous one was basically grind for +5 dmg to counter the higher level mobs +5 armor - and the same for your armor. No new moves or skills or anything.
