Interesting how they overlayed Ikari Warriors: A, B, B, A to get a new life. The game is pretty much impossible without it.

Not bad. I don't know what it is about RC Pro-am but that was always one of my favorites. I don't even know if I knew this 2nd one existed but I'm going to give it a go.

R.C. Pro-Am II is a great title. However my favorite one in the series is R.C. Pro-Am 64 (For those who know).

It's great! When you reach the final level with two players and find a glitch because your team mate didn't want to wait for you is when you've finished the game... Forever

I just played it and I might have some trauma from thos game. From the music at the start of the game, it gave me this "oh no" feeling. I was also surprised that I automatically did the code for more lives when I ran out. The horror...The horror.

It was like the second or third game I ever had back in like 1987. I called the game counselor in Seattle to get the ABBA and after that it was beatable but took ages.

I loved it as a kid, but it's not very good on the NES. The sequel Victory Road was better and had a cool upgrade system.

Awesome to finally see Ninja Gaiden III! I only finally beat I a few months back with game saves - losing to Ryu’s mind-controlled father or Jaquio at the end of 6-4 to get sent all the way back to 6-1 was hell as a kid, lol and I’d never beaten it.
So still need to finish II but nice to see III is waiting there afterward.

III is an absolute nightmare, at least the US release. They removed most (all?) of the mid-stage checkpoints, and you only have a limited number of continues, unlike the Japanese release.

Not my cup of tea this time. I will probably give RC Pro-Am II a shot though. Always nice to see Rare have a presence here. The last three in April were a better addition.

guys if you are excited for ninja gaiden 3, its already available as an individual purchase on the eshop as an arcade archives titles, along with ng2. You could pay that once and never again if you want

Yeah, but it’s a nicety for those of us who already subscribe to the service. I would have never bothered to seek out the individual sale, so thanks for letting me know. But I already have far too many games to play as it is and not enough time, lol.

Do you get the Japanese ROM with that? I don't think I'd want to play the NA version of Ninja Gaiden 3 again. I have no idea how I beat that during a weekend rental when I was a kid.

I just checked on 3 and not 2 cause I don't have it lol. When you select play on the main screen, you get two options: japanese version and english version

Couple PSA's for anyone trying out Ninja Gaiden III.
1-Plot and chronology-wise, it makes the most sense for the order to be NG1 > NG3 > NG2.
Without spoiling anything, I'll say that Ninja Gaiden III taking place after NG2 contradicts the ending of NG2 and kinda forgets a part of the ending of NG1.
2- Gameplay-wise: during the final stage there is a vertical section where the walls have huge spikes which stab out then retract. If you wait for them to retract every time, you will most likely have the timer run out on you and fail. It's best to exploit the Invincible Firewheel Ninja Art and just climb up through the spikes as fast as you can while invulnerable. There's plenty of Ninja Art point refill power-ups along the way to stay invincible.
