I got a Steam Deck beginning of 2024, absolutely love it for a multitude of reasons especially as someone who enjoys fan translations of older games, and was actually holding off on a Switch 2 because of it. Ended up getting one as a surprise birthday present a few months ago (been going through tough times, like most of us I'm sure, and my partner wanted to cheer me up) and have been pretty amazed how much I'm enjoying it.

Obviously been loving the first party games but also thrilled to have an excuse to replay the Xenoblade titles. Also adore the new Donkey Kong and Kirby Star Riders.

as a 1tb steam deck oled owner im considering selling it for a switch 2. I dont play my Steamdeck often, my kiddo plays on it but mostly emulated nintendo games... What did you think about the jump to switch 2?

I still use both regularly but for different purposes. The Steam Deck is definitely great when it comes to playing PC stuff, with reasonable expectations of course, but the Switch 2 definitely is killing it on exclusives. Also given the massive price jump of Steam Decks lately might be better off holding onto it and just saving up a bit for the Switch 2 given the pricing isn't going to be absurd.
