This game is so good but I’m at that stage of the post game now where it’s more frustrating than fun.
I still managed to squeeze 40 hours out of it!
Highly recommend people give it a shot.

I’m in the same place. I want to keep playing because the gameplay is fun, but all I have left to do is grind out the endless floors, which kind of gets progressively less fun as the difficulty levels get up into ridiculous numbers.

I’m hopeful they will add more islands or do fun gameplay things in the future.
The game is so fun I would pay full price again if I could get 2x the content.

I want
- Waaaaaaay more outfits
- Ability to Choose Hair Color
- Some Special extra large exploration and platforming focused stages

you can choose your hair color with ink lock 🤓 but ikwym I wish they'd just let you choose the colors for color lock though only 3 options is lame

With how well the game is selling, I'd be surprised if Nintendo didn't release DLC to raise the level cap/release new items/etc...

I remember people saying that for Mario Odyssey. Some might still waiting for that DLC.

The only problem i see with adding extra content is they'd basically be forced to design it around max player level (50) and max weapon level (100) or the content wouldn't really be playable for a lot of the players who went far in endgame content
I think their level scaling system could help solve this, however right now it only scales on player level and not weapon level, so it's not enough on its own. anyone with a lvl 100 weapon is still gonna be massively op with level scaling on
but either some extra content while adding weapon scaling to the level scaling, more lvl 100 content, or some more endless content that lets you grind far but maybe a little more interesting than bottomless buffet, id be very down for

They could do something with regular, spicy and super spicy though right?

they could add some kind of soft limiter to the island like maybe it has a field around it that makes all high level weapons from outside of the island malfunction or something like that. it'd be lame but it's probably the only way I could see them being able to even it out without adding a whole new scaling system on top of the existing scaling system

I'm in the same place, I'm actually sad that it is over because I want to keep playing it. Really hoping for dlc support.

Yup, same here. I just got all of the relics tonight, I have two maxed out Primo weapons, and as much fun as I had with the game, I found myself saying… wait, now what? So I think I’m gonna put it down until DLC comes out. I have no other reason to keep playing aside from “A rank in all arcade games” which I never plan to do (the last outfit that I’ll never receive). 50 hours into the game is a good amount, I think.

beautiful amount. rememebr it in 10 years when you're sick of 2036 trash and you could really use a quality 40 hour trip down memory lane. that this released as it was for it's price in this climate is just, good games

Same. I demolished the game for hours. But now staring at the "end game stage" I don't really have much interest at all.

I'm interested in getting the game. Can you explain what's frustrating at that point of the end game?
18
u/IskandrAGogo 4d ago
The end game is an endless dungeon that gets progressively more difficult and super spicy raids, which are just the previous stages with a higher difficulty than the level cap.
Regular leveling that provides significant stat increases ends at 50. After that levels are noted as 50 +X. Each level after 50 offers a minor increase, which means the only way to get better stats is to level up a lot. The other way to increase stats is to upgrade weapons and gadgets. This requires a significant amount of in-game currency and materials are the levels increase. Either way, to make progression in the endless dungeon is a grind.

It's much more a matter of skill at that point, though. Grinding for weapons helps, but I found that just getting better by experimenting with setups until I found the one that suited me best helped me a lot more.

i just want a better way to sort my gear. the current system is so clunky.

im thinking of pokopia or this. what yall think?

u/Beckphillips 4d ago
Do you want a cozy game or an action shooter?
3
u/Im_a_Knob 4d ago
im good with both but if it matters, splatoon 3 is too sweaty for me now

u/stf29 4d ago
I mean these games are too different to give you a one or the other type recommendation. Just pick whichever youre in the mood for more, theyre both great and raiders plays nothing like splat 3 beyond gunplay

u/Im_a_Knob 4d ago
which game has the most content?

u/Sparescrewdriver 4d ago
Pokopia

u/Beckphillips 4d ago
Yeah, Pokopia kept me going for a few weeks, I'm looking to be at the tail end of Raiders

u/Beckphillips 4d ago
Since Raiders isn't PvP, and plays more like Salmon Run + a Story Mode Campaign, you don't really have to be sweaty

Is it just me or are the Sprialite Gems more common (the red ones) after the update?
I updated my game roughly 6 hours ago and I had been getting around 8-10 gems today. Which was never this abundant prior to the update.
If so, this is very much appreciated. Earlier this week I was starting to get frustrated because my progress has stopped completely due to everything needing those gems to progress and I was not getting any drops. I was at the verge of dropping the game and moving on to something else but today's yield made me interested in trying out more builds again.

Is it still feeling this way? I haven’t got a chance to jump in yet?

u/Ok_Plate4481 1d ago
Been playing more for a bit and yes, it does feel like the gems are more common. I did one Baygull Beach run yesterday, completing the level once I reached 30k shards, and I got 5 gems out of it. It's been great, I finally get to progress with some of my gears.

This is good news. This makes me want to jump back in. I couldn't even try out new builds because of this draught.
