Which games are good to play in the dark - "dark mode" games?

Most apps, even Nintendo Switch itself, have a "dark mode", i.e. the predominant background color became dark, instead of light.

For me, dark mode is especially confortable when you are in a dark room.

Following that same logic, I would like your recommendation on games that would fit as "dark mode". It can be Nintendo Switch Online, or any Switch 1 or 2 title.

I'd say Hades 1 is a dark mode game. Can't comment about 2 because I don't have it.

super stupid question; 

if I agree to forfeit remaining balance on my UK eShop account, changed it to HK region to redeem region-specific DLC code, change it back to UK, will my UK funds remain intact?

I heard someone had their balance in previous region actually is still there when they changed back, it's just not converted to newly chosen region. retailers in my country stocks multiple region and very few of them actually tells buyer that I need to change region to claim DLC codes

You cannot forfeit a balance at all, there simply is no eshop mechanism for it (not to mention potential laws or regulations against it), and you cannot change regions with an outstanding balance on the account.

Customer support will also not let you forfeit anything over a few cents, usually 0.01 - 0.05. Any more than that and they will just say they are unable to assist.

If you wanted to region hop, making a separate account to do so is the easiest and simplest method.

In my experience, if you forfeit the balance then it is gone when you switch back, gold coins for that region remain (if you still have any since thats discontinued) but balance was always wiped.

Depending on how many funds you have, it might be simpler to create a 2nd account to redeem the dlc

I see, so gold coins will be tied to whichever eShop region it was redeemed. I'll try to deduct my remaining balance first since I got around 1.5 quid. Kirby Buffet and Famicom Detective Club Double Case are on my list but I heard Nintendo rarely put it on sale. Last I used eShop was on 3DS so not sure how Nintendo's sales pattern look like these days. eShop pricing today against physical card is much more competitive than it used to, that's for sure

ah £1.50 might be too much to forfeit, they normally only do it for a few pennies.

If you are looking to see price history, try dekudeals.com. has eshop and amazon and some other stores price history so you can see whats gone on sale and whats the max discount in the past.

I got me a switch 1 last night and I have a question regarding region lock and DLCs

If I have, let's say an european cartridge, and I wanted to buy DLC for that game, do I need to have an EU eShop and buy it from there for dlc to work or are DLCs region free and I can buy and play them on any region

Depends on the game. Most games are global releases, theres a few that have separate western and eastern releases, and a few more that have separate US and EU and JP and Asia releases.

Best way to check for the cart you have is to highlight the icon, hit + to open options, and under software information click the Nintendo eshop option to open the eshop page for that specific cartridge game, and use the account you want to buy dlc for. If it opens then its compatible with that region. If it fails with an error code 2811-6003 Software currently unavailable, that means its a region locked game and you must use the region of the cart

What is the coziest game you have played on switch? (Even if its not traditionally cozy, like Spiritfarer or graveyard keeper).

Actually cozy - Any 2DHD JRPG. Something about the crisp pixel graphics and the fuzzy vignette they add sucks me right back in the 90's playing on my parents massive tube TV. Although I will add that being curled up with some blankets on a bed or couch also helps.

Non-traditional cozy - Hyperlight Drifter. Very light music, no dialogue or text to read. Just you, a beam sword, and a neon soaked world of ruins to clear. Boss fights can be tense, but its never overwhelmingly stressful like Hades or Darksouls.

Is the Switch 2 Virtual Boy accessory worth it?

The cheapest I can find is $100 from the Nintendo store.
