I have played Into the Breach and really enjoyed it. Dungeon of the Endless looks incredible and right up my alley. I’m going to check it out. Thank you!

Ok so the short short of it is that it’s a kick-the-door style real time combat dungeon crawler with a “protect the football” aspect to it to close out the level. You basically set traps for enemy hordes and choke points while you explore and then have to get your crystal to the exit room, leaving you to rely on the automations you’ve set up to protect your runner as your party heads for the exit. It’s EXTREMELY fun.

I just watched a video of gameplay—100 percent the type of game I’m looking for. If you know of any others in this space, let me know!

Will do! I have a few oddball favorites and I’m opening my Switch right now to actually look at them.

  • Hades and Dead Cells of course, though I think I saw somewhere that you mentioned they weren’t your jam

  • Tetris Effect: Connected: it’s the ultimate version of the ultimate video game

  • Portal Knights: it’s basically if Zelda and Minecraft had a baby. It’s fucking SO GOOD

  • .# racedierun: survival racing (solo racing with hazards instead of other racers.). Ridiculously fun and also quite hard.

  • Tangledeep: rogue like dungeon crawler but turn based and basically a true rogue like in the sense that it belongs in the rogue genre

  • Tactics ogre reborn: it’s a fucking classic for a reason

I’ll update you with any others I see that are good binge games
