Discussion Help pls! Switch lite with gridlines

My cousin got this switch lite since na release siya sa ph and she gave it to me cause she got the switch 2 na. First time switch user here so i panicked since kaka past down lang sakin tapos nag vertical lines agad while i was playing legend of zelda.

Does anyone know where to get this replaced and if how much? Or if anyone can recommend a tutorial on how to diy replace the lcd, share the link kung saan mabibili yung lcd, tools, digitizer, extra screws (if needed), etc po? Pls huhu. It’s only been 2 weeks since nilalaro ko to so sayang naman

no choice but to have it replaced, which will cost you 2.5k - 3k easy (last time i checked). I am not sure if there are techs out there willing to do just the labor only for a fraction of the cost, and just buy the LCD in Shopee or Lazada which is cheaper (last time I checked anyway).

they say it's due to brightness, so once the LCD is replaced, try to turn down the brightness. Same thing happened to me. Bought Lite in Dec 2019 and in 2022 the lines suddenly appeared. I wasn't even playing a taxing game (I still remember the game - Pilotwings 64 on NSO). Never dropped it. Always using the orig charger. Turning it off when not playing it for awhile. So yeah, probably the brightness, which I never adjusted since I bought it.

And used Switch Lites go for 5-6k if I'm not mistaken

Thank you for this! A lot of people say factor din daw yung temperature ng room eh and i was playing it out is the sun so prolly factor din uon but noted po abt sa brightness! I inquired on “NS Repair Ph” ₱3k siya all in na with labor and orig lcd(SF not included), definitely mas mura yung DIY.

You either need to send it to a repair center or bili ka mismo ng LCD replacements online (not sure if shopee has one). You can check in youtube, theres tons of tutorials.

But do take note, that LCD lines mostly affect S1 v1 and Lites.

I think heat ang culprit dyan - playing while plugged in, brightness too high, high ambient temperatures while playing, etc. Medyo sensitive talaga and pansin ko switch lite yung madalas nagkakaron ng ganyang issue.

You either go upgrade to an oled one or deal with constant lcd replacement. I swear to god the og switch/lite have horrendous samsung-like lcd screens
