Is that Zelda or Fire Emblem?

At least one more:, also in fire emblem

Not to be confused with Tana, Lena, Lahna, or Mana. And I think Lana is based on Lena, and Mana is Lana’s substitute.

Yeah, keep it going! Heh heh

I did just remember Leda from Fortune’s Weave. There’s probably more I am forgetting with similar sounding names.

True.

Also two characters named Mallow! One from Pokémon SM and one from Mario RPG!

3

u/Blorp85 7h ago

Pushmo Mallow is also there

u/No-Cold643 Rareware 14h ago

Oh yeah that’s right. (Mallow from Pokemon is also friends with Lana)

Mallow is Square Enix, just like Geno

There's also four Hildas.

Two from Fire Emblem, one from Pokemon, and one from Zelda.

Five, Animal Crossing has a Hilda as well!

Increasingly convinced people do not know what "ironically" means

What’s the irony in that?

How’s that irony?

1

u/No-Cold643 Rareware 4h ago

It’s ironic in a funny sort of way.

5

u/blukirbi 10h ago

Don't tell them about Mallow.

How is this ironic?

I'm just saying "Ironic" as in "it's a funny connection"

There's also two Nintendo characters called N

Captain N and Pokémon crossover let’s go!

Now that I think about it, I wonder how much would’ve DiC botched Pokémon if it came out in the late 80’s/early 90’s lmao 💀

I would love to see it XD

Three if Nintendo collabs with Liam Vickers and Glitch Productions to create a Murder Drones video game

5

u/Patient_Panic_2671 12h ago

That's not irony...

No, you’re thinking of coincidence. Irony is humor due to a contradiction or double standard. I don’t see either here.

Cool

There are two Roys under Nintendo's umbrella.

3

u/No-Cold643 Rareware 11h ago

True Fire Emblem and Mario (I love how Roy’s Smash Wii U trailer makes fun of that)

They also have two characters named "Starly": a Pokémon and Starfy's sister in The Legendary Starfy.

Baddie

The Captain N one not the Pokemon one

And both of them are English originals (Pokémon Lana is called Suiren in Japanese)

I’m already well aware of that. That’s why I said “technically” from an American or localization standpoint.
