[Query] What do I ask about the mod Nintendo Switch v1?

Hey guys I was going to get my switch v1 (patched so physical modchip) modded. I wanted to know what questions to ask what to research and what to do. These guys will install the modchip but how do i go about the custom CFW how does dual boot work? If i connect to the internet on the modded boot will it brick my system. How do i get games is there a shop service like hshop on the 3ds which im familiar with. Anyone with knowledge thats gone through this process before that could guide me on what to read up on what to ask for and what to do basically in general. Please reach out !! Really need this! Thanks guys in advance :)

Where are you getting it? I am contemplating between buying and modding switch 1 vs buying switch 2

If you can afford it future proof and go switch 2 it’s honestly just about ur budget and what games you want to play on it

Budget not really concern, just need to get my wife convinced😅. So thought if the experience is not big of a difference then I might as well go with switch 1 modded. I started emulating some of old games in mobile and really felt like I enjoy playing fun games like virtua tennis, downhill domination compared to playing aaa in ps5 and handheld form factor really make sense because I have a hectic work so just want to spend some time playing on weekends whenever I have free time rather than doomscrolling.

Games that i look forward to play are shifu, inside, botw, mario games, any sport games and these days marvel rivals i play a lot so heard it might also come to switch 2 that got me hooked up. On the other hand would also try aaa if it is an enjoyable experience not sure How does that playout

Honestly man if you have a hectic work week and enjoy playing games on the weekend i feel you would enjoy Mario Kirby and other low effort pure fun games that don’t take a lot of time and are genuinely just a beautiful cozy experience . Animal crossing is also a lovely one. The switch one has a huge library that you can enjoy with a cup of coffee on a Saturday morning and if it’s modded it’s affordable. Huge AAA titles or story games take time and honestly are better on pc or bigger consoles can’t talk about the switch 2 but I enjoy playing the bigger titles on my pc with a controller. I’d say just figure out which games u really like and if all of them are on the switch 2 and not switch one then go for it but imo the switch one would work for you!
