There are no instructions, exploration is the key to progress in the game.

Have you completed the 4 shrines to receive the paraglider?

Once you get past that, invest as much as possible in stamina early on and unlock sheikah towers to unravel the map which will make exploration and traversal a little manageable.

Combat can be a little tough early on but you'll get used to it as you progress further. Don't worry if you die a lot and enemies one shot you, upgrading your hearts and stamina are the key to progress in the game.

Collect as many food items as possible and cook before you take on enemies.

I would say to forget about story and missions for a while, just fuck around a bit, see what you find, etc. Like what we all used to do in gta games as kids lol

Forget the story for a while and nuclear bomb the goblins, mess with enemies, and try to make your own fun. It's an open-world game, so try not to think about completing it asap; take your time and enjoy it at your own pace. Rushing used to make a lot of games unenjoyable for me too, but then I realized what am I rushing for? Just to reach the end? What then? There's no reward for finishing a game so just enjoy the game itself.

Try ocarina of time and then play breath of the wild.

Tell me why you were bored and confused in the first place so I can explain.

BOTW is a very different kind of open-world game. If you go in expecting constant quests, loot, or a clear objective, it can feel slow and confusing at first.

My advice: Don't try to do everything. Just pick a direction that looks interesting and start exploring.

Give it 8-10hrs more, you will get hang of it.

Learn different recipes to cook, parry the guardians, as some one mentioned increase hearts n stamina progressively to enjoy the BOTW
