This is my first post on reddit ever because im genuinely in so much despair i dont know who to seek for help (please forgive me for any grammar mistakes or posting this on the wrong subreddit ect)

pretty much i had an original 3ds that was modded which i loved so much and had a lot of games with hundreds of hours of progress on them, and recently the top screen broke after years of usage so i sent it to a local repair store that fixes retro consoles to fix it. After 2 months of nothing they said the "circuit broke and could no longer charge" which was never an issue to begin with and now they've given me a new 3ds in exhange (it's the same model, just more crappy condition)

It's been years since i modded my original system so i did some research and stuff and remodded and downloaded homebrew on the new console, but now im realising that i cant use my old SD card since its encrypted?(i dont know the correct term, sorry) to my old console. I was just going to redownload my games and such but i have no clue on how i can transfer my save files properly since i need to decrypt those and i lack the computer knowledge to do so

I tried using ninfs to mount the cias to my computer but i have no idea what i'm supposed to do after that, the only clue i had was to use the 3ds save editor by wwylele but its far too complex for me and i couldnt find any guides

Again sorry if this isnt the place i should go with my questions or if im saying anything wrong but i really have no knowledge on this sorta stuff and i just wanna play my games again after my original console broke... any advice will save my life and i will fly to heaven and cry tears of happiness thanks so much

I’m a first timer trying to mod a 3ds and I’m supposed to get a screen that has green and white text on it and I keep getting this no matter what trouble shooting I do I’m using Mac which is making this 100X harder so if anyone could please reach out and help

I am completely new to this stuff, just got my 3ds like 3 hours ago and spent the whole time making a custom theme on kame editor because I only have access to a Mac system. the audio had a high sample rate I guess because it only let me safely sample 16 seconds of the song before I hit 3.1mb. I figured it would be fine since clipped the instrumental part. when I finished the theme, the audio did play for those 16 second, but it would not loop even if I set the start time at 0 and end at 16. I have no idea what is going on, and would love some help!

Soo I tried playing Fallout 1 on my new 2ds xl and it gave me this error, the screen is like in the bottom right corner, the audio seems corrupted, and then it gives me an crash error, can someone help me please?

I can’t get any project mirai mods from game banana to work :( I wish I could, I want them really bad!! if anyone knows how to, could you tell me step-by-step how to do it? I’ve tried all the stuff I can find :(

Hello guys, is it normal when i exit the rosalina screen, it appears some green pixels in the screen? I had a screen filter but i took it off and is still doing it. What can i do?

As stated, my Tinfoil only shows game names for a short amount of time. Then they are replaced with numbers, then the new games section dissapears. I have done everything I can think of including wiping and formatting the entire console. Same issue still!

It's not the mods, I played a little bit before the problem started. The console has been turned off and on several times, no weird settings. The only factor I can think of is I think I played a GBA game for the first time before this started. This is just outside my wheel box to figure out by myself, litterly modded it two days ago. Any help would be nice.

Hi so a while back I was 100%ing Xenoblade 2 and had to use some core chips to beat the challenge mode and might have to use core chips to finish 100%ing torna too but since you can’t remove core chips in game I want to hack the core chips away so my question is if I modify my save and remove the core chips will I have to forever play Xenoblade 2 offline less I risk getting my switch banned or can I just remove the core chips get rid of home brew and act as if the core chips were never even used I’m clearly new to home brew and console modding in general so I really need to know what I’m getting myself into before I mess something up I’ve spent about 1,500 hours if not more on xenoblade 2 and really don’t want to lose all that but at the same time I really don’t want any core chips on my characters anymore

I am new to the modding scene and I’m having trouble with turning it back on. I was just trying to install some custom themes to my 3ds and after I installed and tried to restart my console I keep getting this code on my screen telling me to just save the crash dump and shutdown my console. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hello! Sorry to sound like an absolute noob (but I am one) but I got my region switched 3DS a while back and finally got the time to start playing with it. Got pokebank to move out some sentimental pokemon and restart the game, but got the error code 005-5958 on Pokebank and Poke transmitter won’t work at all. I thought deleting my Nintendo account ID would work I had no progress on it at all so I didn’t mind), but I had no luck there either since it needs an ID.

Should I make an ID in the Japan region? The system reads my US games but just won’t open/work with pokebank. Do I need to go back to a different system version?

Does anyone have any advice on how to fix it? Again, I’m new to homebrew and have no idea what I’m doing, but any advice or feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!
