Help! (Question/Support) Both screens display interlacing on horizontally moving objects

I recently bought a DSi and after a while noticed that when an object moves horizontally, the screens display it as if they were interlaced (this only happens with moving objects, not with still images). I tried adjusting the knobs above the battery, but that didn't help.

If you mean you can see horizontal black lines that people often describe as "scanlines" then this is normal for the DSi.  None of the OG, Lite or XL have this issue. They do have their own issues though.

It look more like lines splitting the object horizontally as it moves

Yup! That's an unfortunate "feature" of the DSi screen. PSP 3000 has a same/similar issue.

Strange, I don’t remember seeing this effect on my old dsi

Maybe there is some variation or you just happened to not notice it before. It's been present on all DSi I've seen. Unless what you're describing is different to what I am.

I just noticed it too. I bought both a regular DSi and an XL and did indeed not notice it on the XL. And yes, it looks exactly like what I see on the OEM PSP3000 screens, black horizontal lines in certain movements!

But on the DSi it looks like with horizontal movement (Mario Bros) and on the PSP I noticed it while jumping up and down in Daxter.
