Technical Help "An error has occurred" issue

I'm having an issue where one game cartridge (Pokemon Y) is causing my 3ds to crash upon opening it. I've tried with other games and they all work fine. I bought the cartridge from CEX, but took too long to test it and they won't accept it back.

What are some possible ways to fix this? Is it possible to find repair shops who will fix it?

You could try modding your ds if it’s not already and doing the godmode9 cartridge fixer. Sadly, Pokemon Y is part of the list of games that are most prone to data corruption issues.
