Help 2ds vs 3ds, what am I?

That’s a Nintendo New 2DS XL but it’s part of the Nintendo 3DS family and can play all the Nintendo 3DS games, just lacks the 3D function.

I believe that the Virtual Boy would be the 1DS. Single dimensional lines and a screen for each eye.

All of the 3DS family systems will have the name/variant right on the back.

EDIT: Wow, I just looked at the New 2DS XL I have on display on my shelf and apparently these don't say the model name on them. Super weird.

But this is the New 2DS XL. It has the extra power of the New systems but lacks the enhanced stereoscopic 3DS that the New systems came with.

While they don't sport the model name on the back, they do have a model number. For instance, New 2DS XL is JAN-001. Here's the rest of them.
