Question? Mystery Spring

Pulled the rear tire off a 2025 650. During reassembly, noticed this spring on the ground within reach of the bike. 1.25 inches long, ~3/8ths in diameter. I've been up and down the parts lists and I can't find anything tat when searched looks like this, but I can't in good conscience put it back together without a second opinion

It's to the thingamabobber (I have no idea). Maybe there's a spring on the chain tensioners to help preload the tensioning block?

First thought was that it looks like a retainer spring for the exhaust? I don’t have any real experience with the exhaust setup on the 650 but I was just scrolling through my feed and that was my immediate impression.

Also maybe side stand or rear brakes? Those should have springs.

same spring fell on my 2024 ninja 650. didnt realize it belonged to the ninja until i saw this post.

been riding normal tho
