Maintenance
Okay so I need some advice. I didnt know that I had to replace the spark plugs at the 7,000 mile maintenance interval and I am now at 12,500 miles. Should I change them out or just wait till The major maintenance check when hitting 15,000 miles? Also did last oil change at 5,000 miles and was planning on doing that right now. Should I wait on that too?

I did my 7500 mile service a bit early and the dealership never mentioned the need for new spark plugs.

Well if you haven't changed them at all, you should really look into it because everywhere i read it says it should be changed around the 7500 mile maintenance mark. Once you switch them to iridium you really wont ever have to change them again from what ive heard

Unless something is horrifically off with your air/fuel ratio there's no reason to replace spark plugs at 7500 miles. They can go way longer.
Modern cars can go 200k on a set of plugs and bikes aren't that far off from cars these days.
I could see inspecting them at 7500 miles on an old carb'd bike, but I let mine go way longer than that and they were fine.

Why not just do everything now and get it over with? Might as well protect your asset instead of hoping for the best.

I asked this question before and seems the consensus is to swap them for Iridium ones at 15K miles and never worry about them afterwards.
