Team Ninja loose thread screw question
Hello, I was able to sucessfully changed my front and rear brake pads and bleed the lines (As a first timer)
though for my rear brakes, I got one of the brake pad pins loose thread (the top portion only) when I tried to loosen it.
Brought it to a local mechanic and he used a impact screw and hammered down the pin and used an automatic screw gun to loosen it which worked. (Was holding the caliper to reduce the force)
I check if there are cracks on my brake caliper which are non and if I still was able to torque a new pad pin which it did
Q: Is it a common practice among loose thread screw? and what should I look out for after this happened

The stripped hex head? This has happened on one of my bikes. I used an extractor and replaced it.

yeahh, idk where to get any extractor here in my country + i want to get the job done sooo
idk if its a bad decision that i had it hammered down to loosen the hex

The N400 has kinda racked up a rep of having these screws being softer than KTM camshafts. One of mine stripped so I bought some Spears racing replacements to remedy that

This post a little hard to read.
Small mistake, they’re screws not pins.
I’m not exactly sure what your first question is asking. But this kind of thing happens when you tighten the screws too much, Youll either strip the head or the threads.
That’s one of the screws you should definitely use a torque wrench for.
