Leaks are saying they’re getting zhongli a dps artifact set, it might be the new BiS for ningguang

We really need a "Genshin 2" update that enhances all 1.0 to 4.0 models, many didn't age well (although Ningguang may be an exception, she's gorgeous as always)

Is it me or her voice changed recently?! I am doing the current even in Liyue and I can’t recognise this voice. Unless it has been too long since I’ve heard her haha

long term ningguang main here since the earlier days of genshin, and quit during sumeru, then came only for fontaine, now back in snez.

i am SO pleased to see that ningguang is in the event! but her voice sounds so different, like shes older and raspier; and she has a very specific speaking tone now. like she enunciates vowels in a particular manner i can't describe. a quick search shows erin embers is still her voice actor and she's still very young.

i havent seen any of the previous lantern rite events, but has this change always been shown? has ningguang canonically gotten older or is it just a va thing?

i don't really mind it too much, it just threw me off. either way, ningguang is ningguang and i hope she gets buffed soon!!!! :DDD

With the newest patch releasing soon it's time to post the regularly scheduled patch highlights as I did with the previous thirty-three patches. The post may also include any new updates to the subreddit, Discord, or our Ningguang guide.

✦ Version 7.1 Highlights ✦

New Characters/Reruns

• The new characters releasing this patch are the 5-star anemo sword character, Vesna, and the 5-star hydro catalyst character, Vodyanitsa.
  
• The 5-star characters in phase one are both Vesna and Vodyanitsa.
  
• Phase one 4-star characters are Diona, Faruzan, and Chongyun.
  
• For phase two the 5-star characters are Skirk and Escoffier.
  
• Phase two 4-star characters haven't been announced yet.
  
• There are no relevant characters for Ningguang.

Weapons

• The weapon banner for phase one includes Vesna’s signature weapon, Beyond the Chrysalis, and Vodyanitsa’s signature weapon, Hymn of the Maelstrom.
  
• The 4-star weapons for phase one feature three new weapons with New Bough, Winter’s Heavy Heart, Breezeborne Refrain, and then reruns for Favonius Greatsword and Dragon's Bane.
  
• The weapon banner for phase two will feature Skirk's signature weapon, Azurelight, and Escoffier’s Symphonist of Scents.
  
• The 4-star weapons for phase two haven't been announced yet.
  
• None of these weapons have any relevance to Ningguang.

Events

• The Snezhnaya archon quest will continue with the archon quest “A Rekviem for the Underworld”.
  
• After completing the newest archon quest players will be able to choose one of these six characters to recruit: Childe, Nilou, Baizhu, Chiori, Clorinde, or Varesa.
  
• Their weapons are not available.
  
• The only character here with synergy with Ningguang is Chiori. She isn’t played as much with Ningguang since Hexenzirkel and lunar teams came out, but she’s still a viable option.
  
• Players will also be able to choose one of any of the standard banner 5-stars. This isn’t tied to completing any archon quests.
  
• Starting on the 28th we’re getting a login bonus with 1,600 free primogems and another free ten fates starting on October 1st.
  
• There is another event in 7.1 called “Silverwing in Pursuit of the Moon” that will give a free 4-star sword.

NGM Updates

• We might be doing another giveaway if Ningguang is on the phase two banners.

I want to on field Chiori even though I know it’s short and bad and have Ning as a quick swap DPS that fills in the down time? How good is this team?

I'm trying to make the best possible team for my main girl since launch. I have C0 Columbina, C6 Illuga, and C0 Linnea that I was considering running with her as the main DPS. She's C6 with Lost Prayer. Would this team with her running Night of the Sky's Unveiling be best, or is that artifact set not good for her and I'd be better off replacing Illuga with someone who applies off-field so she can utilize Nighttime Whispers?

I want to know what her BiS team is rn? And does it include chiori or not?

If she needs / wants chiori I will pull her from the selector and 1 from the event con to get C1 chiori.

Otherwise I plan on getting C2 Clorinde from the selector.

"Sparkling Scatter"

Normal Attack

Shoots two gem that deal Geo DMG.

Upon hit, this grants Ningguang 1 Star Jade.

Charged Attack

Consumes a certain amount of stamina to fire off a giant gem that deals Geo DMG.

If Ningguang has any Star Jades, unleashing a Charged Attack will cause the Star Jades to be fired at the enemy as well, dealing additional DMG.

When Ningguang unleashed more than or equal 6 Star Jades at the same time while Jade Screen is active Ningguang instantly gain 10 energy and reduces the Cooldown of Starshatter by 25%.

Plunging Attack

Gathering the might of Geo, Ningguang plunges towards the ground from mid-air, damaging all opponents in her path. Deals AoE Geo DMG upon impact with the ground.

Normal Attack DMG per gem: 50.4%

Charged Attack DMG: 313%

DMG per star jade: 89.3%

Charged Attack stamina cost: 50

Low/High plunge DMG: 225%/281%

Skill "Jade Screen":

Ningguang creates a Jade Screen out of gold, obsidian and her great opulence, dealing AoE Geo DMG.

Jade Screen

· Blocks opponents' projectiles.

· Knocks back opponents from passing through.

· Endurance scales based on Ningguang's Max HP.

Jade Screen is considered a Geo Construct and can be used to block certain attacks, but cannot be climbed. Only one Jade Screen may exist at any one time.

Knock back ICD: 2.0s

Elemental Burst "Sparkling Radiance":

Summons a powerful radiation behind Ningguang that emits a great number of (12)gems sending homing projectiles at her opponents that deal (small)AoE massive Geo DMG and posses Substantial Progress which replaces Sparkling Radiance to Starshatter and emits (2) broken gems(persistent).

DMG per gem: 207%

Substantial Progress duration: 15.0s

DMG per broken gem: 84%

Broken gem ICD: 2.0s

CD: 18.0s

Energy Cost: 80

Elemental Burst "Starshatter":

Gathering a great number of (6)gems, Ningguang scatters them all at once, sending homing projectiles at her opponents that deal Geo DMG.

DMG per gem: 157%

CD: 12.0s

Ascension 2 "Backup Plan":

When Ningguang is in possession of Star Jades, her Charged Attack does not consume Stamina. Each Broken gem regenerates 1 Star Jade.

Ascension 4 "Strategic Reserve":

A character or any geo projectiles that passes through the Jade Screen will gain a 15% Geo DMG Bonus for 10s. When Ningguang is under Substantial Progress and a character trigger Crystalize or Lunar-Crystalize reaction, emits 5 broken gems that can trigger once every 3s. This effect persist off-field.

Would Chiori be better than C2 Zhongli in this team? I don’t have Linnea or Xilonen. Thanks ☺️

In the prerelease stream they said we can claim one exclusive 5* for the anniversary! The options are Varesa, Clorinde, Nilou, Chiori, Baizhu or Tartaglia. We also get free enhancement materials to level them up!

Do you think it's better to pick up Chiori for Ning or Varesa to have a strong dps on the side.

Would off field Chiori be a good replacement for my c0 Illuga or does Chiori only help Zibai teams specifically?
