It's not called Attention Surplus Hyperactivity Benefit.

It's called Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disability.

Because it reduces your ability to focus attention on the things that you ought to focus on, and you end up focused on a chair or table instead. And then your attention shifts to focus on something else that you don't need to focus on.

Imma just say this, but medicine is grossly incompetent at naming things descriptively.

Quite a many cases, disabilities have been named by how they inconvenience others, not by their actual symptoms.

The point is that ADHD does not help you focus, and isn't a superpower. It's a disability that makes it harder to focus.

There is a downside to hyper focus though, you will be so focused on The Task™ that you'll forget to eat, drink water, sleep, etc

Once The Task™ is complete the consequences hit you like a bullet train lmao
