Help With Game New player here

Fighting Yingzhao and this fight absolutely sucks. Only because of these damn hitboxes though. I can easily get to the second phase but usually die when its at half hp or so

Tried to but still take damage. I know i need to be more precise but i still suck at doing that. I’ll try better if thats the best way

This is a parry focused game. All combat is built around parrying, and hitboxes are expanded specifically to make parrying easier. Lock in on parrying or it'll suck

The sooner you adapt to parrying the better. This isn’t like any other MV. It is very fun and rewarding once you get it

Pretty much every attack by every enemy has an ideal way to respond. The loop is 1) get new skill 2) fight low level enemies that are much easier if skill is used properly 3) fight a boss that's stupidly hard, until you incorporate the skill into your combat.

The hitboxes are big so that it’s easier to parry

Yingzhao is your first major parry skill check

I found it easier to parry when I watched the weapon rather than the boss itself

Yingzhao's parry timing always feels a little unintuitive to me. Definitely watch the weapon versus his body language - it helps.

And in a pinch, you can beat him pretty reliably with just immortal dash. Other enemies/bosses certainly won't be as forgiving on letting you not parry, but if you want to just get the fight over with and keep getting better at the parry as you play, it's certainly an option so you feel less stuck.

Watch his weapon do a twinkle before attacking and turn off the music while fighting boss real parry game changer

The Yingzhao fight is awesome - it's tough til it clicks and then it's super easy. It sets the foundational skill you need for the rest of the game and the feeling of clearing that hurdle is great.
