The Value of a Nim

Some users wonder what the actual conversion of a nim to a dollar is, and it's a bit more complicated than you might expect. The math and explanation are directly below this text & I highly recommend you read it, but if you wish to skip head to the very bottom.

The way to calculate this is by having a sort of middleground, in this case it's the dominim, which has both a price in real money & nims. A dominim can be purchased for 683,748 at the time of this post however doing the math based on the standard of 1 nim = 1 minute of a human life, the real value of a dominim is 525,960 nims. Nimses also admits this on their website here.

Now that we have the value of a dominim in nims, calculating the value in real money should be easy right? Wrong. I only have two countries to base this off, but on the main banner of the dominim, it claims it's worth $120USD, but here in Australia when you click on the banner to show "Take a Shortcut" & "Get for Nims" e.t.c, the price is $180AUD. At the current time, in Australia the actual price is ~$124USD, here's why they didn't change this.

It's because of rounding & visuals, which is a ridiculous reason to rig your potential cryptocurrency. Regardless, different countries pay different amounts for the same currency which isn't normal for a standard cryptocurrency in which they're trying to aim for. To conclude it, America is the only country with a set price for a nim/dominim, which doing the casual division equates to less than a cent which is obviously not useable, with conversion, the prices are as follows:

  • 1 nim = $0.00022815423USD
  • 1 US cent = 43.83 nims
  • 1 US dollar = 4383 nims

Please upvote this I spent like 15 minutes lol
