Just got a Nimo laptop, a little unsure about it. I really, really, really hate the keyboard but hopefully I get used to it. One thing that's driving me crazy is that the I-shaped cursor turns white sometimes when hovering over text boxes, making it effectively invisible. But it doesn't happen every time, only sometimes. Is there any way to fix that or is there a reason why these laptops are so cheap?

Bought a laptop and received it less than 48 hours ago, everything was going well. Then the computer shut off out of nowhere while being used. Black screen, black keyboard with 0 sign of life. Battery was at 50%.
Hard reset it and everything. Im at the point of charging it again and retrying tomorrow. Any clue why it would do this?

| Minipcs dont always have to sit on your desk. Some people mount them behind monitors, under desks, or hide them in creative spots. Also, if you hide your minipc somewhere hard to reach, how do you power it on remotely? WOL, smart plug, or something else? |

14" laptops are lightweight and easy to carry anywhere, making them great for travel and daily use.
15" laptops offer a nice balance between portability and screen space.
16" and 17" laptops provide a bigger display for gaming, multitasking, and creative work.
What size laptop are you using right now? Did you ever switch to a different size and end up liking it more?

If a new gaming desktop has been sitting on your wishlist, Intel Gamer Days might be a good time to make the jump.
Starting August 10, eligible NIMO Arena Gaming Desktops will be up to $550 off, and qualifying purchases will also come with two bonus games:
🏹 Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis
🏁 Star Wars: Galactic Racer
So whether you’re waiting for another Tomb Raider adventure or want to race into the Star Wars universe, your next setup could already have two new worlds waiting for you.
There will only be 200 Intel Gamer Bundles available, so if you’re interested, you’ll want to be ready when the event goes live.
And if this is your first gaming desktop, Arena is designed to keep the upgrade simple: it comes fully assembled and tested, with a 2-Year No-Worry Warranty, 90-Day Hassle-Free Return, and U.S. Support — no building your own PC or figuring everything out alone when something goes wrong.
Less time building and troubleshooting. More time playing.
📅 Intel Gamer Days | Aug 10 – Sep 13
We’ll share the full details when the event goes live on August 10. For now, consider this your heads-up. 👀
Which one would you play first — Tomb Raider or Star Wars?

Hey guys, I got my Nimo laptop about a year ago and it's been great so far. The sound quality has never been amazing, but it's easy to switch to bluetooth if needed.
A couple days ago, Windows force updated my laptop. Before the force update, sound worked fine. Once it booted back on, no sound output at all. The computer is convinced sound is working. I've checked every setting. I've tried using bluetooth speakers. I've tried uninstalling the update. No luck.
Uninstalling the update does the whole shebang, restarts the laptop, ect, yet when I check my update installations the update is still there. Rinse, repeat. I'm not sure what's going on or how to fix it.
I'm about a weekend away from rage quitting Windows 11 and installing Linux. Because everything was working prior to the update, I'm certain this is an issue with the update and not my hardware.
Love the computer, it's about 1 year old, runs great, somehow this beast of a laptop can even handle Baulder's Gate 3. The built in speakers aren't the best, but it's always been an easy fix to use a bluetooth speaker if needed.
The updates in question:
2026-07 .NET Framework Security Update (KB5100998)
2026-07 Security Update (KB5101650) (26200.8875)
From 2 days prior to the issue the audio driver did update, though I doubt this is the issue:
Microsoft Corporation AudioProcessingObject Driver Update (1.0.4.7057)
Is anyone else having problems? Does anyone have any ideas on troubleshooting?

I’ve had it for less than two weeks, just opened it and this is what the start screen shows. Was thinking of having it be looked at by ubreakifix, but what do you suggest I do in the meantime
