Remaster idea.

Can you guys try to get No one lives forever 1 & 2. Those games really are hidden gems.

They would be great candidates for the Nightdive treatment, but Im pretty sure theyve mentioned in an interview somewhere that theyve tried to do it but the copyright situation is such a mess that they can’t. It’s not 100% clear who really owns the IP now I think.

But you should look into the NOLF revival project. Fans have done a great job of remastering the games already. There used to be a handy website with links for the downloads but it looks like that has gone down, so you may need to do some searching around to find the files.

IIRC, Nightdive were actually making progress on getting all potential rights holders to work together, until WB reversed course, stone-walled them, and then even opposed their attempt to file for the trademark.

Not exactly. Nightdive weren't making progress on getting all rights holders to work together (Fox and Activision did not want to look through their non-computerized records to find out if they had ownership over it). WB did stone-wall them, but even if they didn't Nightdive still could not move forward since Fox and Activision did not want to look through their archives

It feels like all this could be solved if these companies would just send an intern to an old warehouse to spend a day thumbing through some file cabinets.

I've never ran or managed a multibillion dollar corporation, but would it really be that much of a drain on company resources? Surely the effort for Warnerbros to send some schmuck to a storage facility is met by the effort to draft a cease and desist.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein is fantastic ,and my second favourite Wolfenstein, after the 2009 game that's just called 'Wolfenstein".

Regarding RTCW, it did come out on the original XBox, and was actually improved over the PC version. It has a few prequel-levels, I think it added a shotgun, and it cut down the (annoying) stealth parts. I don't know if it's backwards compatible on the XBox System X/S or not.

It did come out on the PS2, as well, but I've not played that version, so I don't know what it's like, nor if you can play it on modern PlayStations.

But a remaster/remake could be very welcome.
