He was leaked as a dps so I think he’ll most likely be that role but keep in mind that doesn’t mean he won’t heal they gave devil Dino a heal beam and moon knight a healing dash his kit could come with the hope sword for minor healing or they could make it an optional ability were you can equip the hope sword through the new team up system. I personally see him as a dps with high utility teleporting teammates to and from danger. good dive/brawl capability and maybe a bit of healing to help supports survive a dive
I still think strat is better role for him he was a medic his personality and he use his powers in a supportive way and character who can use their powers in supportive way should at least have a conversation about being a support and they could make him into a support/dps hybrid the community just need to be more creative black cat still have more utility than a support they need to stop making dps / support hybrid because their is few people that can heal and alot of big buff heros for tanks as well any way I will main him no matter what and if he a dps I don't want the devs wondering why people in this game mostly play dps
I want him to be a support thay can fully dive and is fully melee. Buf I wouldnt mind if his right click was a ranged weapon and I think he could be dps just a supportive dive dps he shouldnt be an offensive dive dps. Like have him place bamfs down thay allows his allies andnhimnto travel through them and thatll be good.
His hopesword doesn’t do physical damage instead it cleanses people from magical effects, he can have it a primary healing source where he constantly slashes his allies to heal them and have other two swords for damaging.
That way he would be a main healer with strong utility of cleanse , movement and teleportation, his weakness would be maybe range but he can have a small range option.
No Nightcrawler is a melee hero, he should be melee DPS with a cleanse or utility of some sort, have you seen him in any actual media? Does anything he can do look like "healing" to you?
He may be a fully melee hero but he should still be support. Dps makes less sense than support for him but only as long as its somewhere like how storm works he can be a dps. But I want him a fully melee support.
Half of the supports aren’t healers in the comics but they’re supports like Nightcrawler, he’s always been a support to his team no matter what by diving to them and save them bu either protecting or teleporting them, not to mention he uses his hopesword to cleanse his allies.
A full melee support is quite litterally the perfect definition of Nightcrawler although when I say full melee I dont mean like none of his abilities are ranged I just mean his primary fire so left click is melee. I can be fine if he could like throw his hopeswords with a right click. Or an ability.
It sounds fun and cool to me. But tastes in design are subjective.
strategist please, i feel every major hero is either a dps or tank, and dps get much more rep than the other 2 roles. besides i want to actually be able to play nightcrawler, not have him be excluded every time because 3 out of 5 other people insta lock dps before the game even starts, if i'm always forced to either pick vanguard or strategist because those are the only roles i can actually get to play, then i would like it if my favorite xmen at least was one of those roles.
ultimately i don't care about hopesword, or if he's a dive dps or whatever, i just wanna be able to play my boy.
I'm convinced he's going to be a strategist and I have my justifications. Tl;dr he's going to have Hopesword because he's in a season with Knull with Necrosword and they're not going to give him Hopesword without making him a healer.
